Mechanical-pneumatic shaft
A concentric clamping shaft for small chuck diameters
Designed for winding and unwinding reels of variable widths, these shafts are robust and powerful. They allow the use of one or more coils on the same shaft. They can be made as a half pin for cantilever applications. They are specially designed for vacuum applications. Their mechanical-pneumatic design makes it possible to obtain excellent concentricity values. The “SV” version expands by pressurizing the shaft (5/6 bar). The “SVSA” version expands when there is no more area in the tree. Very useful for unrolling in enclosures under speed or applications whose cycles are spread over several days. The “SVSA” construction, meeting all safety requirements, can be used for coil handling and lifting. The custom design and manufacture of the shafts allows the perfect match with your needs and in particular your torque, load and speed constraints. The range of expandable shafts of the SV&SVSA type makes it possible to use chucks with diameters of 70 to 150mm.
